NAIL DOWN

Nailing down hardwood floors is the most common installation method, especially for solid flooring. In this method, the nails are nearly invisible after installation.

GLUE DOWN

The glue down method involves using adhesives to adhere the hardwood flooring to the subfloor. Adhesives work by creating a bond between the subfloor and the wood flooring through a chemical reaction process.

FLOATING FLOORS

This installation method is ideal over floors such as tile, which can be difficult to remove. This method is also good over cement subfloors and floors with radiant heat. A plastic moisture barrier is laid on the subfloor prior to installation of the flooring.

Jaime did a great job of making an old floor look brand new. The wood flooring was covered up by ceramic tile and the associated mortar. He was able to clean up the mortar and sand an refinish the floor to its 1960’s original look.

Jaime has done three different jobs for me, and his work has been great every time. He made helpful recommendations for wood and trim choices. He put down new oak boards and finished them in place, using a slightly unusual finish that I had picked. One small piece of trim got missed, and he came back to finish it and took care of a couple of minor issues I had noticed since the install. He is meticulous in his work and in the cleanup, plus he and his crew are just a pleasure to work with. I can’t recommend them enough.
